Why is Fox News defending Palin's Paul Revere " Weren't gonna be taking our guns" comments?

I mean seriously, how many times can one person misspeak, how many times can you blame the media for a Gotcha question ? Everytime Palin says something wrong they attack the person who asks the question man damn. The woman is a ex governor and was a VP Contender, she should be able to handle questions like " What did you learn" and " What do you read" Do you really think if Barack Obama said the same thing, Republicans would be defending him? Would they just brush it off as he misspoke?
