My kitten and trimming his nails....?

i am having issues with trimming my kittens nails.. he fights me before i even start.. my boyfriend and i have played with his paws to get him use to it so we wouldnt have this problem.. i even talk to him and tell him its gonna be ok... ive given him treats after but he still fights me.. ive even just trimmed and few nails and then gone back to do more later.. what else can i do???
