Safe parking near Atlanta airport? Park and fly or Hotel parking?

I'm going to be flying out of hartsfield Jackson in a few weeks and I'll be gone for 8 days. It seems cheapest (30-40$) to park at one of the hotels in college park and shuttle. Is this safe? Will my car be ok if it's empty? The park and ride at the air port and the park and fly or park and go are all going to be about 70-80. Any suggestions? I'm looking at the quality inn south right now.
