Will the Revere Eight Model 80 Silent Camera take Super 8mm film?
no this is a 1950s era camera, it does not use super8 cartridges. a few projectors were made that were dual format, but no cameras. The 8mm camera like you have actually uses 16mm film, wound on a spool. the spool is flipped when empty to expose the other side. the film is then split at the lab, that is why there are sprocket holes on only one side. Super8 is a cartridge system, you never touch the film and don't have to worry about loading in total darkness like 8mm. a 1950 era camera was made for ASA15 kodachrome color film. the iso of current super 8 stocks is more like 200, so the old cameras would greatly over expose the film requiring pull processing.
