How can i get my kitten to eat more?

he's been puking and i guess hes not eating or drinking enough, im panicking now trying to get him to eat but he wont and i have to work all day tomorrow. should i try to give him some different food? the only other food i have is from a can and im worried it might make him even more sick. and that still doesnt solve his drinking
